How do I apply for a Card?

You can apply online via the portal. You will need to provide proof of your qualifications, pass the Health, Safety & Environmental Assessment, and complete your application form online.

 

There is currently a 2-3 week processing timescale for applications once all required documentation is submitted and verified.

Yes, you can renew your card up to 6 months in advance of your current card’s expiry date to ensure you have no gap in your certification.

Most cards require a valid Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) assessment. You can take this online through your account.

If you fail the assessment, you can retake it. It is highly recommended to review the study materials again before booking your next attempt.

Once you complete your NVQ Level 3 and your AM2 assessment, you can submit these qualifications through your online portal to apply for a Gold Card upgrade.

Our certification is primarily a UK industry standard. However, the qualifications backed by the card are internationally recognized across many commonwealth nations.

You can order a replacement card easily via your online account dashboard. A small replacement fee applies to cover printing and postage.

Yes, if you hold the relevant qualifications for multiple occupations (e.g., Installation Electrician and Fire Alarm Technician), both can be endorsed on a single smart card.

Most standard cards (like the Gold Card) are valid for 3 years. However, some trainee or apprentice cards have different validity periods depending on the length of the course.
